Overview

SOCI 287 introduces learners to the study of society from a sociological perspective. In this course you will learn how to analyse modern societies — including your own society — by using some of the major theories and key concepts of sociology.

Evaluation

To receive credit for SOCI 287, you must achieve a course composite grade of at least "D" (50 percent) and a grade of at least 50 percent on the final examination. The weighting of the composite grade is as follows:
