PSYC 388 is a survey course designed to increase students' awareness of the field of counseling, including its evolution, processes and specialties.

Evaluation

To receive credit for PSYC 388, students must achieve a grade of at least 50 percent on the final examination, and a course composite grade of at least "D" (50 percent). The weighting of assignments is as follows:

The course materials include a study guide, a student manual, a book of readings, an assignment booklet, and an envelope containing the Jackson Vocational Interest Survey (Assignment 1).
