Overview

MGSC 418 aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Provide an understanding of supply chain concepts and characteristics.
  • Explore supply chain drivers and obstacles.
  • Discuss the application of demand forecasting, aggregate planning and inventory management to manage supply chain.
  • Identify tools and techniques such as network modelling required to implement transportation and facility related decisions in a supply chain setting.
  • Examine issues related to coordinating a supply chain and role of e-business.

Evaluation

To receive credit in MGSC 418, you must achieve a mark of at least “D” (50 percent) on the final examination, and a composite course mark of at least a “D” (50 percent). The composite mark is weighted as follows:
