Celebrating Métis Culture
The Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company has started a tradition: an annual Louis Riel Celebration that is held on Nov. 16 every year. The 2005 event was tied in to the launch of the Howard Adams biography and a Leah Dorion art show.

Indigenous Education at Athabasca University launched its official existence within the University in the fall of 2001... The Gala attracted people of all ages and all backgrounds within the surrounding community.
