Gatineau, a great gateway!

Located in the western part of Quebec, on the border of the Outaouais River, Gatineau is a dynamic city with many cultural and natural attractions. Whether you are looking for adventure, pleasure or entertainment, the city of Gatineau offers it all. Among its major attractions, you will find the Canadian Museum of Civilization, one of the most renowned museums in Canada; the exciting Lac-Leamy Casino where you can experience the pleasures of gambling; and the great Gatineau Park, a large protected wedge of land with many hiking trails, historic sites, parkways, picnic areas and lakes. Everyone who loves nature and outdoor sports will be seduced by the wide selection of activities available in Gatineau Park and will be charmed by the beauty of the scenery that changes with the seasons. Those who prefer fun and entertainment will be delighted by the variety of shows, restaurants, exhibits and recreational activities that are available in the city. To explore Gatineau, rent a bicycle and ride on its many cycling paths; stroll through its art galleries, museums and shops; admire its eclectic architecture; enjoy a concert or a play at one of its theatres; have a drink at a cosy bistro; or take a boat tour from one of the marinas, all of which are very pleasant. For a more spectacular view, try a ride in a hot air balloon and let yourself be seduced by the enchanting region. Discovering Gatineau is always an exciting experience!
