Board of Governors
AU operates with a bicameral governance system. The members of the Board of Governors are appointed by the Government of Alberta. The president of the university is an ex officio member of the council.
The Governors of Athabasca University consists of the chairperson, up to 10 public members, two academic staff members, one tutor, one non-academic staff member, two undergraduate students, one graduate student and one alumni member.
